UIBM reorganization to guarantee services to users
USER INFORMATION
The Telephone Assistance service continues, albeit with reduced capacity for action, while the Public Hall is temporarily closed.
In order to mitigate the impact on users due to the closure of the Public Hall, the information assistance service has been enhanced through the dedicated email box: https://uibm.mise.gov.it/index.php/it/il-contact-center .
We invite you to contact this address to make your requests; they will be re-addressed to the relevant divisions.
If you intend to file an industrial property right or an act connected to it, applicants are advised to use the electronic filing since IPTO offices are closed and the processing of documents forwarded by post will only be possible upon their reopening.

COPY RELEASE SERVICE
The service in charge of delivering simple copies only by email remains active.; during this emergency situation, the related requests must be addressed directly to the official in charge of the process: mirella.smecca@mise.gov.it.

INTERNATIONAL PATENT APPLICATIONS
Without prejudice to the availability of online storage through the ePCT platform on which UIBM is fully operational in its role as Receiving Office, for the entire duration of the national health emergency, Division VII of UIBM has prepared tools to facilitate paper filings by users and mitigate the consequences due to delays in the fulfilments foreseen under the Patent Cooperation Treaty.

INTERNATIONAL TRADEMARK APPLICATIONS
Filing of international trademark applications and renewal of international trademarks: due to the emergency situation following the COVID-19 outbreak, on a temporary basis, applications for international trademarks and for renewals can be sent to UIBM via a dedicated certified legal e-mail: dglcuibm.div08@pec.mise.gov.it. In any case application in paper format have to be sent to UIBM as soon as possible
