Consequences of the UK's withdrawal from the EU
The withdrawal agreement provides for a transition period that will last until 31 December 2020.
This transitional period has the purpose of guaranteeing citizens and businesses the time necessary to adapt to the new situation. During the transitional period the UK will continue to apply Union law but will no longer be represented in the EU institutions.
Until the end of the transition period, all proceedings before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office will be carried out regularly as required by current regulations.
