Warning: misleading invoices

If you receive an unsolicited invitation regarding renewal, publication, transfer or any other procedure in connection with your EU trade mark registration, DO NOT PAY IT until you have checked carefully to see what services are being offered and whether the source is official.

In recent years, a growing number of holders of industrial property titles have received requests from third parties for the payment of misleading or non-existent services, such as the registration, publication, renewal or inclusion in commercial lists.

Payment requests are often accompanied by texts and images that recall those of the Italian Patent and Trademark Office, which could mislead the user. Whenever you receive a letter or an invoice, you are invited to carefully check the content and authenticity of the source.

The DGLC-UIBM is the only Italian public office appointed to register and grant all the Industrial Property titles.
