Data on the number of "Green" patents in Italy

The Italian companies over the last decade have shown increased attention to the environment and all those innovative technologies that promote their conservation.

One sign of this attention is also evident in a patent captures the dynamic, with the increase of inventions relating to "green technologies".

The patents classified as "green" belong to multiple technical fields and can relate to the production and storage of energy from alternative sources (wind, solar, geothermal, biomass-derived, for example, the re-use of residues from agriculture and animal husbandry) waste management, as well as innovative materials used in construction or aimed at replacing petroleum-derived materials.
