How to apply

The application for recognition must be completed in accordance with the procedures and forms on the Ministry of Economic Development (MISE) website available online at, whether the application concerns the recognition of titles obtained within the EU or in third countries.

The application form must be accompanied by two duty stamps, each amouting to EUR 32.00 or by a receipt for payment of the stamp duty of EUR 32.00 made by bank transfer to: ‘Bilancio dello Stato [State Budget] Capo VIII, Capitolo 1205, art. 1" BIC: BITAITRRENT - IBAN: IT 07Y 01000 03245 348 008 1205 01 IMPOSTA [TAX]: Imposta di bollo [Stamp duty]’.

Persons not resident in Italy who are required to pay the tax must enter their personal details instead of their codice fiscale [tax code] (if they do not have one).

The signature can be affixed in two ways: signing the document digitally or as a handwritten signature scanned (in PDF/A) and attached in accordance with the enclosed facsimile. No formats other than PDF/A are permitted under the Digital Administration Code.

The completed file must be saved and sent, with all documents attached, to the certified email (PEC) address only if sent from another PEC address, or to the email address if sent by ordinary email.
